Milton Keynes Teaching School Alliance (MKTSA) Terms and Conditions


All of our courses are in GBP £ Sterling.


Fees quoted are correct at the time of publication. All fee’s quotes are exclusive of VAT which will be charged where applicable.

If you have an MKTSA subscription, please check whether the cost of the course is included in your subscription. Some courses have additional fees.


All booking must be made via the booking form on the IFtL website or (where applicable) Eventbrite. We cannot take bookings via email or over the phone. All courses are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Non-subscription schools will be invoiced within 21 days (term time) after the course has taken place.

Fee-paying courses not included in the subscription will be invoiced within 21 days (term time) after the course has taken place.

When you book online via the MKTSA website or Eventbrite you will receive an email confirmation. You will also receive a reminder before your course. Please check your email confirmation for the location of the course and the confirmed date.

Delegates who wish to attend without prior booking/who turn up on the day; if there are no places left, you may be turned away. Please also note that course materials and lunch (if applicable) might not be available as these will be reserved for those who have booked in advance.

Delegates may request that their names are held on a waiting list in case of any cancellations if a course is fully booked by emailing


Once free places have been booked, additional places will be be added to a waiting list and, if available, will be charged out at an additional cost of £50 + VAT for a half day course and £90 + VAT for a full day course.

Subscription invoices will be issued annually at the end of the preceding summer term or the start of the autumn term. Subscriptions run for the full academic year. If you do not wish to renew you must tell us, in writing before 12th July 2021.

Remote CPD

The documents provided for your training are for the sole purpose of accessing video training from Milton Keynes Teaching School Alliance (MKTSA). By using the training online, you agree to the following conditions:

1. All documents and file are offered on a fair usage policy until 21st July 2021. We ask that you only use personally and do not share it with other individuals or agencies outside of your group. If you need to extend the timeframe may do so free of charge by requesting an extension. Otherwise, your access to the documents will expire after 21st July 2021 or if different, we will advise if there is an expiry date.

2. These documents and files must not be shared outside your group and may not be copied or used for anything other than the intended purpose. The intellectual property belongs to MKTSA. In addition, there may be images or video of children that can only be shared within a closed group such as a school or nursery and must not under any circumstances be used on social media.

3. If you are given a password to access the documents, please do not share with other individuals or agencies. It must be kept private and for personal use only. This will be monitored and any unauthorised email addresses who have accessed the training will be invoiced at the full rate for the training.

4. For IFtL Portal users, please do not upload any files to the training folder or attempt to edit or in any way change the content of this folder.

Cancellations / Refunds

MKTSA reserves the right to cancel or alter dates of the course and venue. We reserve the right to cancel a course due to insignificant numbers up to 3 working days prior to the course start date with no charge made. All delegates will be notified of cancellations or changes to the course via the email provided at booking.

MKTSA reserves the right to make alterations without giving notice to a previously confirmed course for reasons beyond our control for example illness and adverse weather conditions. We will always try and offer alternative dates where possible.

MKTSA reserve the right to make reasonable modifications to the courses without prior notice.

MKTSA will have no other liability for changes to your courses other than those set out in this condition, and no other claim for compensation or expenses will be considered.

Cancellations made by the delegates later than 10 days before the course date may incur a cancellation fee (see cancellation fee below).

If you wish to cancel a course, please email If your course was booked via Eventbrite and you are giving more than 10 days’ notice to cancel, you can cancel or amend your booking yourself on Eventbrite.

You can transfer a name free of charge by emailing or via Eventbrite.

Non-attendance of the course shall be deemed to be a cancellation and delegate’s schools will be responsible for paying the cancellation fee.

As we invoice after the course, no refunds can be given.

Cancellation Fees

All Schools (including subscription school where there is a fee for the course)

If you cancel without giving 10 working days’ notice on a fee-paying course 50% of the fee will be due.

Cancellation on fee-paying courses if less than 3 days’ notice is given 100% of the fee will be due.

For non-attendance on the day on a fee-paying course 100% of the fee will be due.

Exceptional circumstances will be considered.

Subscription Schools only

If your course is part of your MKTSA subscription and you cancel without giving 10 working days days’ notice or for non-attendance you will be charged £100 per three cancellations without notice/non-attendance for each school. Exceptional circumstances will be considered.

No charges will be made if you give 10 days’ notice or more or if you send another person in your place.

Cancellation fees also apply to all last-minute bookings.

GDPR – photos and videos

Occasionally, we will take photos and videos of delegates/facilitators during our CPD courses. If you do not give consent please make a member of staff aware. Signage will be in place to inform you of your right not to be included in photographs. Photos may be used for marketing/publicity including printed publications, digital communications material, social media, YouTube, websites, internal and external marketing across Inspiring Futures through Learning Trust, MKTSA and ITT. You can remove your consent to all, or any of these uses individually, at any time by emailing Please Note: Material that is already published may be excluded in certain circumstances. We will take all steps possible to remove photographs where requested but printed material already in circulation is beyond our control.

Resolving disagreements

We are delighted to hear from those who use our services and find them helpful. We want to provide the best possible service and we always want to resolve any complaints. We will, therefore, read/listen carefully to what is said and respond appropriately. We will also learn any lessons that mean we need to change our procedures for the future. We hope that our open and professional manner resolves any issues, but should there be any instance of any continued disagreement any complaints should first be made in writing to the Head of Teaching School – Sarah Hand and subsequently, if appropriate, in writing to Sarah Bennett – Accounting Officer and CEO for our organisation .
